Spring Fling

DAY 1 May 12: Depart from USA>Catania

DAY 2 May 13: Arrival and welcome to CATANIA International Airport and greeted by Eszter and Alfred to begin your Spring Fling in Sicily adventure. Private Transfer to Sicilia Residence . Eszter will “show you around” the immediate area. You’ll visit the green-grocer, the market, pharmacy, and two cafe’s located within a stone’s throw away. Later in the evening, we’ll enjoy a Special Sicilian Welcome Dinner at an award-winning Pizzeria and restaurant “Reitana”.

DAY 3 May 14: After breakfast we’ll tour CATANIA, the city of black and white. We’ll have a guided tour of the Piazza Duomo, the famous fish market, and walk the famed Via Etnea and get filled with the sights and sounds of city life. We’ll have an early dinner at one of our favorite fish restaurants “Antica Sicila”.

DAY 4 May 15: Breakfast at the Residence. We depart to the slopes of ETNA for a spectacular wine tasting event at our favorite winery. Then dinner at “Piccolo Mondo”, one of favorite mountain restaurants and our friend Carmelo’s.

DAY 5 May 16: Breakfast at the Residence then off to TAORMINA, the Pearl of Europe, later we will visit the Port of Naxos then Savoca where you can have an espresso or your favorite beverage at Bar Vitelli. You will enjoy this beautiful town with a panoramic view that will blow you away. Dinner that evening at “Il Nespolo” for one of the best fish dinners you will ever have!

DAY 6 May 17: Rest in the morning! Breakfast at the Residence. In late morning, we will venture off to see two of the most important cities in ancient Greater Greece, SIRACUSA and ORTYGIA. In the evening, we will enjoy dinner at an authentic rustic restaurant “The Heritage” in ACI SAN ANTONINO.

DAY 7 May 18: After breakfast at the Residence, we are off to NOTO and the famous Flower Festival known as The Infiorata - it will make your jaw drop! Set against the backdrop of perhaps one of the finest Baroque cities in Sicily, you will have time to stroll around and take in the sights and sounds. Then we will zoom to MODICA…the home of one of Europe’s finest chocolate makers, where you can sample many varieties! Modica is yet another great town of baroque architecture. Dinner that evening at “Café Del Mar” in ACITREZZA!

DAY 8 May 19: We will head to the middle of the island and visit the magical mountain town of ENNA. Later we visit Piazza Armerina to the Villa Romana del Casale to see the remains of a perfectly preserved Roman villa with an amazing collection of mosaics including the famed bikini girls! Dinner that evening at another fantastic restaurant!

DAY 9 May 20: Visits to ACITREZZA, ACI CASTELLO
and then to TRECASTAGNI for a private guided tour of the most exclusive Sicilian villa that contains the finest collection of Sicilian carts in Sicily. Set in a magnificent villa on the slope of Etna, we will enjoy a barbecue and catered dinner on villa property. Believe us, this will be one of your favorite days!

DAY 10 May 21: Today is a “relax” day as you lounge around the pool and digest the memories of Sicily. If you want to visit ACITREZZA one last time, we can transport you! However, don’t eat too much because we will have a delicious home-cooked meal at our house that evening by our great chef Graziella that will make for a perfect end to a spectacular trip!

DAY 11 May 22: Transport to Catania International Airport for flights.

• 49 to 11 days before departure you will lose 80% of the cost of your trip
• 10 days or fewer before departure, you will lose 100% of your trip
